"Home" to
the Venetian. This is the corridor that leads
from the casino to the reception lobby for the hotel.
Now here's something you wouldn't really expect to find
on the first floor of a hotel / casino complex. (Not at
ground level... upstairs !) That's the ceiling, not fresh air,
and then there's....
... the gondolas. Well, it is "Venice", after all !
The lighting is incredible. It was impossible to believe that it was
actually 10pm
and we were inside a building. If you look really hard, the small
circular
ceiling vents are just visible. (They looked like UFOs.)
The
obligatory gondola ride. Our gondolier sang O Sole Mio for us.
She had a trained opera voice and had auditioned for Phantom of the
Opera.
These are very bad
"professional" photos, but we bought them
because... well, how else were we going to get souvenir photos
of our romantic gondola ride ??!!
Hang about a bit...
who's supposed to be the stars here ??!!
