Next stop, Dolphin
Cove.
This is
one of the trainers, Chris, riding a dolphin.
These animals are so very intelligent.
The trainers said that they don't teach the dolphins their tricks,
they watch what the dolphins do naturally and then work with them
to get them to do those things on command. Hand signals are used almost
exclusively.
I was a bit slow off the mark with every shot, and caught them re-entering the
water
rather than at the top of their leaps. Had I managed to do that, you would have
seen them
against the blue sky, instead of the trees and rocks.
This one
did something like a triple somersault !
Here
they're crossing the pool backwards on their tails,
supporting their bodyweight of around 100 kgs, or over 200 pounds.
