Our first "sidetrack" was actually a backtrack...
totally in the opposite direction to the Apostles,
back to that lighthouse we'd passed.

The Pole House is on that closest hill.









The lighthouse looks out over Eagle Rock.





Watch that breaker...




The plaque on the cairn says it marks the resting place of
Thomas Butson Pearse who died on the 9th August 1862 aged 53 years
and his wife Martha Pearse who died on the 10th April 1870 aged 51 years.
Early pioneers of this district.
What a spectacular view they have !

The Pole House is the grey looking blob directly above the white house
that sits on the top of the light green patch about a quarter of the way down
and in the midline of the photo.

Walking back up towards the lighthouse after visiting the grave,
I couldn't resist this shot.
