The restaurant.

The front cover of the menu is taken from the painting you see on the wall
in the previous photo, which was done by Allan. It's entitled Rousseau's Sleeping
Chef and is an adaptation of Henri Rousseau's The Sleeping Gypsy.
It features Allan's wife, Alla, and tells how her passion for cooking pervades
even her dreams. The 14 utensils symbolise the 14 years they had been there
when he painted it. Alla's love of art is depicted by the almost blank landscape
awaiting her, and her dog signifies the many distractions in her life.

After another sumptuous meal, we wandered back via the Kitchen Garden...

... and the gazebo, where a spider was awaiting a tasty morsel in its brightly
illuminated web, next to a spotlight. I tried to take a shot without the flash
but the breeze caused too much movement of the web. The flash,
unfortunately, obliterates the detail at such a close range.
