Derek thought the ostriches
looked thirsty, so he shared his bottle of water with them !
There were hundreds of other
animals, including monkeys, turtles, (have you ever heard a large tortoise
chomping lettuce... ??!!!) wallabies... and even a large aviary full of rats !
It was sooo hot that there was barely a one moving. They were mostly hanging
(looking as if they were dead) over branches, or lying in piles on the
bottom of the cage !
We walked around until we could
barely move ourselves, and then headed back to .......
That's Bill in the middle of
the pool, ^ and Derek diving in. This is the pool at the rented place...
the only thing they were dreading about moving into their own home... not having
access to a pool for a while.

You can see how tiny each home
is... one door and one window wide ! And where those arches are, is their "back
yards".
That pool felt sooooo nice
!
Tomorrow we head back to Madrid
ready for the flight home !
