Oopsie... I missed this one !
It was hot !! But see what I
had instead of ice cream ? An apple !
Over there to the right and
about 2/3 of the way up, you can see a big house on a hill. Gives you an idea of
how high up we were !
The next day, Derek and Beryl
were busy, so Bill and I decided to take the train into Benidorm. Derek told us
that there are two stations, New Benidorm and Old Benidorm. He said the old town
was the more interesting place to visit, so... after standing on the station at
El Campello in the blazing 35C (95F) sun for almost an hour because we'd just
missed one train, we were finally on the way. What we didn't know was that over
there you have to push a button to let the train driver know when you want to
stop at a station, so ... cruising right on past Old Benidorm, after having
already gone through New Benidorm, we looked at each other in befuddlement, and
decided to get off at the next stop... only to find a drastic change in the
scenery... like... nothingness ! So we stayed on for a few more stations, until
we reached Altea, a very pretty beach resort.
I had to put the reins and
blinkers on Bill. He was pulling out the video camera and I asked him where
he was going. He said he was just going to get some footage of those topless
women over there..... whoa boy !!!!!!!
