Here's Bill... phoning... guess
who.. ??!! Yep... work ! He can't go on holiday and leave the problems to the
others, he just has to know what's going on the whole time !
This is the 'villa' that
Derek and Beryl were renting. It's about the same size as Beryl's house back in
England.. two up, two down. They were paying 450 English pounds a month for it,
but Beryl told me that when it's rented to holidaymakers, the owners charge that
much per week !
The raised part is the front
verandah, and the lower part is the 'garden'. It's maybe double the size of
the verandah. Out the back, there is about 4 feet before you hit the back gate,
which leads out to a grassed area, more villas, and then through to a beautiful
pool area. But there's no room for the washing machine inside, so that's out the
back, and the clotheslines are strung right across in front of your face as you
walk out the back door !
Inside. This is the
loungeroom... note the dining table under the stairs, same as in England ! I hit
my head on that sloping section too many times ! Through the wider arch is the
tiny kitchen, and behind Bill is the 'powder room' and the
staircase.
Now, this is the house they've
bought and were about to move in to. It's a single storey house, but the land
slopes so steeply that there are about 20 steps up from the street to the front
door ! Then from that level, there's another flight of stairs up to the flat
roof which they're going to make into their BBQ area. Here 'tis.... and just
look at that view !
See that high mountain peak in
the distance ? Keep it in mind for later !
