Thank you, Tom.

OK... here we are, at last.
Piccies of the epic voyage !
I've added some links for you
to click for more info off the 'net about some of the places if you're
interested.
We arrived in London at 7.15 am
and picked up the car we'd hired at the airport. It was too early to check into
our hotel, so we took a ride to Slough.
This is the house we lived in
for the last few years before we left England for Oz. It's about 3 miles from Windsor Castle, where the
queen hangs out sometimes, eating her cucumber sandwiches... hehehe. It's also
about 10 miles from Heathrow airport. The
front porch is a new addition since we were there 4 years ago, and they've taken
down the fence between the two houses, obviously so they can drive their cars
in. (Each building is two houses.)
Here's me on the swings in
Manor Park again ! (Like 4 years ago). This is the park where we used to play as
kids. It's also where Bill managed to damage the rental car when he drove over the kerb... oops... I didn't really tell you that ! The park looks nothing
like it did back when we were kids, but then again... I don't suppose it would
have recognized me either !
Back to school ! This is
William Penn Junior School, and it still looks exactly the same as it did when I
attended from 1953 to 1959.
This little kiosk / cafe is in
Burnham Beeches , a
woodland area where we often
used to picnic on Sundays. I'm sure it's the same
one that we used to go to back in those days too. Burnham Beeches is where
a lot of the Robin Hood
episodes that starred Richard Greene were filmed.
BTW, I hadn't changed the
time on my camera when these were taken, so you need to subtract 9 hours to find
out the English time.
