These were taken with the Samsung, some by Bill, but the ones with the
light beam
are my efforts. Wish I could have got the two crossing ! Maggi got one but
I'm not
sure if she'll be putting it up on her site. As I type this, she's still
way behind at
Windsor
Castle !
It was about 11pm by now, but I think you can tell
that it was still very hot !
Bill was determined to get a good shot of us with the view in the
background, but the
reflection of the flash off the mesh was impossible to avoid.
After midnight, and
we're back on terra firma.
The tower looked magnificent all lit up.
Hot, tired and about
an hour's walk from our hotel,
we decided to grab a quick snack and then catch a
taxi. I don't think we would have survived the walk !
A food vending van nearby had crepes, and their menu
advertised one with cheese. Sounded good to me, but
when I took a bite, the crepe itself was sweet !
Oh well, it filled the gap !
