We tried not to spend
too much time on the second level because we wanted to
make it to the top level before it was completely dark. There were so many
people waiting for the lift though, that there wasn't much light left at
all
when we finally reached the top.
That's the Arc de
Triomphe all lit up down there.
No, I wasn't drunk or
falling off the tower. I was leaning over the rail trying to
see round corners (and people !)
Looking down on the
River Seine.
The light beams going out from the top of the tower cross over every so
often
but no matter how I tried to snap a shot of the "V" as they met,
my timing was
always slightly off. I had the timer set so I could press the shutter
button and
then make sure I held the camera steady while it counted down to taking
the photo,
and I swear they altered the timing on the beams so I couldn't get it !!
