"Did you remember to pack your lunch dear ?
Good... now kiss me goodbye..."

This little fella intrigued me. I think it's a 5th century BC barbecue he's cooking on !

Et maintenant... la pièce de résistance...
(no, not her bra strap !)

... La Joconde.
This was where I got myself well and truly told off.
Yeah, of course I can read the signs that say
"No Photography", but heck, I'm not using a flash
and I don't intend to sell copies, so... after
noticing that the security guards on either side
of the painting were distracted, I hastily raised
my trusty camera and clicked in the general direction.
A young lady a couple of metres away spun round
(she must have had eyes in the back of her head)
furiously wagging her finger at me  and
proceeded to tell me in no uncertain terms
that I would "dammaaazzh aaallll ze pennteeengs".
Not quite sure how that would happen, but
I suppose it's what security guards are trained
to tell museum visitors. They're lousy photos anyway,
but I'm still quite proud of them. You just can't
visit the Louvre and not get a shot of the
Mona Lisa !

Two more of mine.

An interesting study by William.

Another of mine.

Bill's again.

There are a lot of areas in the Louvre where you're not allowed to take photos,
and after being in trouble once, I didn't want to risk being set upon by the
local gendarme. However, if you're not all Louvre'd out yet, you can click here
for a Powerpoint Presentation of more interesting scenes, paintings and exhibits.
There's a great Mona Lisa shot too. Turn up your speakers to be serenaded en français !
Unfortunately I don't know who to give credit for it, so if anyone recognises it,
please let me know and I'll do the right thing. Left click through the presentation
and when it finishes, hit the Back button on your browser to come back here.
