We're off again, en route to Ilfracombe.
This is another windscreen shot of a church
somewhere along the way.

Bill and I both took quite a lot of photos at Ilfracombe. I've whittled
them down
to an almost respectable number. Here's mine
first...
A walkway winds around the side of Capstone Hill, an ironstone cliff
rising steeply
from the ocean .
See the clifftop in the background there, with the little cove below it...
I think that may have been where the sixth photo (counting the back of
the previous one) on this page
was taken back in the 50s.
St. Nicholas's Chapel on Lantern Hill was built in 1361
and is believed to be the oldest lighthouse in the UK,
having housed a beacon for over 600 years.
Maggi was intrigued by
the size of the "Jonathans"
which all seemed to be much larger than their Aussie
counterparts.
Yachts in the harbour... tide's out !
