Included in the entrance fee to the Roman Baths was a visit to the
Museum of Costume and Assembly
Rooms a short
walk away.
Photography is not allowed in the Assembly Rooms but there
are some good photos here.
I was going to bypass these photos Bill took of the exhibition by John
Bates,
but they are very interesting, so I changed my mind ! If, however, you
disagree,
feel free to skip a couple of pages.
John Bates designed under the label Jean Varon from the 1960s to the
1980s.
Unfortunately the info on the displays is far too small to see, and I
don't have
anything with the relevant dates of the styles, but maybe you'll remember
some of them !
