Borrowing a few more of Maggi's photos here, since her 'puter is down and she
hasn't yet been able to continue her travelogue . Thanks sis !
(Also because hers came out better than ours !)
All those with the date stamp are Maggi's work.

The first six on this page are windscreen shots from the moving car.

Wednesday 12th July and we're heading north again.

You've heard the nursery rhyme that goes
Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross
To see a fine lady ride on a white horse...

well, here she is ! The statue was unveiled in 2005. There are some excellent photos
of it here and for anyone who is interested,  A History of Banbury.

Not what you'd expect to see in the middle of a roundabout ! I have no idea of its story.
Newsflash !! Thanks to my friend Ken for providing this info.

Memories of childhood trips "up north" to visit the rellies. We always used to try to
count these kilns...

... but I'm still not sure how many there really are !

The Angel of the North
Click on the link to read about this unusual sculpture and to see a
360 degree interactive panorama.

(Please excuse the rear view mirror !)

No date stamp because I cropped it, but this is Maggi's photo.

Next stop,   Chester's Roman Fort and Museum on Hadrian's Wall.
My photo that belonged with this plaque came out really badly, but I thought the
information was interesting enough to include anyway.

Relics from Roman times which have been excavated in the area.

Modern day relics admiring the Roman relics.
