Darkness descends upon
London.
Another of my weird
angles. It's the London Eye, of course.
And so
concludes our sightseeing expedition in London.
Tomorrow we leave Travelodge Leatherhead for our next
accommodation, Travelodge
Slough.
We
crammed a lot into a very short space of time, but not as much
as we would have liked. This day was the first anniversary of the
Underground bombings, and there were memorial
services
in various locations but it's impossible to be everywhere at once.
A whole month in London wouldn't really be enough.
At some stage during the past couple of days, Bill had suddenly come to
the
realisation that, apart from what he wore on the plane and a couple of
spares
he'd put in his carry-on "just in case", he hadn't packed any
undies !
Good old Marks
and Spencer to the rescue ! At least we were somewhere where
we could buy some, unlike the Singapore "incident
of the paper knickers" !
