We didn't know about it beforehand, but the final entry
in the Celebration of Light fireworks contest
was held on our second night in Vancouver,
and every man and his dog was heading to English Bay 
for the 10pm start.

We were fortunate to be staying in a hotel that was within
about 15 minutes' walking distance, 
so of course, we joined the crowd.
