Tina in the backyard of "the shop".
Mum thought I could have chosen a
nicer backdrop. The original of this photo
is 1.5" x 1", taken by friend Mike Lewis
with a Kodak
Baby Brownie.

Maggi
chose a prettier location.
Our outfits were made by a local seamstress.
Bottle green velvet vests with tweed skirts.
We also had matching tweed coats with
green velvet trim. The cost of them inspired
Mum to take sewing lessons !

We left the car at home and went by bus.
Coming home, the queue for the bus was
all the way around the block and we waited
what seemed like hours. A new phrase was
born that day...
"Come to Kew and queue".
On arriving home, Dad kicked the car.
