The rest of our Saturday was spent mostly relaxing and wandering
around town. Well... Bill needed a nap since he'd only had about
three hours' sleep, so I watched some of the Olympics events on TV
and played with my camera. Nope... no interesting shots to share !!

Sunday 10th August... checking out day.
There's a Sunday market in Todd Mall where you can buy all sorts
of arts, crafts, produce, clothing and cosmetic items...

... and there was even a band. They were good too... played lots of
stuff that took me back to my band days.

Just one of my "candid camera" shots.

We were due to board the Ghan at 3pm for the trip to Adelaide
but it was delayed about half an hour. Finally settled in our
little cabin once more, it's time to check email and all that
important stuff.

Pulling out of Alice Springs station, these three camels bade us farewell.
Here's a great video clip of the station and be sure to scroll down and
check out some of the others. Definitely worth a look !

On our way... and here's the Iron Man. This sculpture was erected
by railway workers to mark the laying of the one millionth concrete
sleeper on the project. Bad photo... we were moving quite fast.
This page lists some of the landmarks along the line.

Sunset in the Aussie outback. It made me think of the Aboriginal flag.

Couldn't get one without reflections in the window.
