Our room at the
Aurora, Alice Springs.
We'd arrived in Alice at 11am but our room wasn't ready
so we went for a wander around town and had a coffee.
Bill couldn't resist buying a big, fat cream donut, which
is what he's eating in this photo.
Oooohh look... a REAL bathroom !!

centre of the photo.
Turning around from where I was standing
to take the previous shot,
looking down over the outdoor dining area of the hotel's
Red Ochre
Grill.
Sturt's Desert Pea is the floral emblem of South Australia.
Despite its unique appearance, it has never really appealed
to me. The blooms remind me of skinned rabbits in the
butcher's shop window. These specimens were growing
in the garden almost opposite our room.
