About four hours out of Darwin, we stopped at Katherine,
home to the world renowned Katherine Gorge. We had a five hour
stopover here and had opted to take the gorge cruise.

No, that's not us !
The contraption to the left of the canoe is a crocodile trap.

The crew instructed us on emergency procedures.
"Your lifejacket is located in the overhead compartment..."
Hmmmm... well maybe after we sink I'll be able to reach it !

Can't quite make out what that sign says...

Aaahhh... OK then... no worries !

This is Jedda's rock, so named because it featured in the movie, Jedda.
It's the cliff from which Marbuck and Jedda leapt to their death.

Waiting to moor before the trek through the gorge to the next boat.
This area is impassable to river traffic.
